Great Truths

For the next few Mondays, I am going to post truths about the SUMMARY OF LIFE. I found these from Sylvia at overthehillblogspot.com and thought they were so funny. What a great way to start a Monday ...

Great Truths That Little Children Have Learned:

  1. No Matter how hard you try, you can't baptize cats.
  2. When your mom is mad at your dad, don't let her brush your hair.
  3. If you sister hits you, don't hit her back; they always catch the second person.
  4. Never ask your 3 year old brother to hold a tomato.
  5. You can't trust dogs to watch your food.
  6. Don't sneeze when someone is cutting your hair.
  7. Never hold a dust buster and cat at the same time.
  8. You can't hide a piece of broccoli in a glass of milk.
  9. Don't wear polka dot underwear under white shorts
  10. The best place to be when your sad is Grandma's lap.

Enjoy your Monday!

Hi, this is my first visit to your blog. I found you through the Lovely Blogs link party.

Some of those truths, really made me chuckle...especially the one about trying to hide a piece of broccoli in a glass of milk. I used to do that as a child...only it was steak, not broccoli. I have NEVER liked steak, and I used to spit the pieces into my milk glass. I never fooled my mom!!

Like you, I am also in a new season of life. My children are 18 and 20, and they are still in my home; however, after homeschooling them from 1st and 3rd grades, we finished up that journey this year. AND I'm getting ready to turn 50 in January. So, I am learning that it's time to embrace new seasons as well...I am giving serious thought to returning to college, in pursuit of an English or Journalism degree.

My best to you as you embark on your new path.

Blessings,
